TabChart Release Notes
Version 2026.9.1
Chart Appearance
- •You can now set the chart font size, so labels can be made smaller on dense layouts or larger on a big display.
- •Indicator labels can be turned off the price scale. The scale sizes itself to its widest label, so hiding them reclaims the width that was squeezing histogram indicators.
Charts and Timeframes
- •The timeframe you set on a chart is remembered again. It was being discarded silently, so a chart reopened at the default rather than the interval you last chose.
- •Chart presets now open at your default timeframe instead of one fixed per preset. "Most Volatile" always opened at 1 minute regardless of your setting.
- •Removing a chart, or changing the multi-chart layout, no longer leaves the remaining charts failing to load. Charts still being drawn would keep asking for the one that had gone.
- •A saved chart whose market is no longer available — a delisted pair, or a removed exchange account — no longer prevents the rest of the layout from opening.
Eight New Themes
- •Four new light themes — Daylight, Mist, Parchment and Sage — and four new dark ones — Nocturne, Obsidian, Ember and Pine — join the original Light and Dark.
- •All of them live in a single picker in Settings, shown as colour swatches so you can see a theme before choosing it.
- •Colours throughout the app were rebalanced so headings, body text, borders and selected rows stay clearly distinct in every theme.
Alerts and Notifications
- •Alerts and notifications are now named as the separate things they are: an alert is the condition you set, a notification is how you hear about it. Most translated languages had been using one word for both, which made the settings genuinely confusing.
Language and Formatting
- •Switching language now updates the whole window straight away. Several labels, including the theme name and the update status, used to stay in the previous language until you restarted.
- •Screener field labels and several dialog labels no longer get clipped in languages whose words run longer than English.
- •A number of remaining English-only pieces of text are now translated.
Other Improvements
- •Faster settings lookups and less work rebuilding toolbar and menu state.
- •Scrolling a chart to a range that has not been cached is no longer recorded as an error, so a diagnostic report sent to us now shows the problems that matter.
- •Various minor fixes and stability improvements.
Thank you for using TabChart!
