TabChart Release Notes
Version 2026.10.1
Chart Layouts
- •A workspace is no longer just a grid. The new layout button in the charts toolbar offers the layouts you know from TradingView, for 1 to 8 charts: one big chart with smaller ones beside or below it, two over three, columns, rows and more. The first chart in your workspace takes the big spot.
- •The rows × columns grid is still there, in the same picker. More charts than a layout shows simply continue below, a screen at a time.
- •The workspace list shows each workspace's layout at a glance, and Settings > Charts sets the layout new workspaces start with.
- •A connected AI assistant can arrange your workspaces in the new layouts too.
Complete Chart History
- •Fixed gaps in chart history. Scrolling back on Bybit, OKX, KuCoin and Poloniex could show islands of candles with weeks or months missing between them. Every candle the exchange has is now loaded.
- •OKX charts now go back years at every timeframe (1-minute charts used to stop after a day), and OKX candles of 6 hours and longer now start on UTC boundaries, like every other exchange's.
- •2-hour to 12-hour and 3-day charts now use the exchange's own candles instead of building them from smaller ones, so they load faster.
- •Checked on all nine supported exchanges and every timeframe, candle by candle, against the exchanges' own data.
- •The chart cache starts fresh after this update, so each chart takes a moment longer the first time you open it.
Live Updates
- •Binance: with more than five charts open at once, some charts stopped updating live. Every chart now updates.
- •Kraken: the newest candle now moves in real time instead of freezing until the next one began, and its volume matches the rest of the chart.
- •When an exchange briefly limits requests, TabChart now waits and tries again instead of leaving part of the chart empty.
Fixes and Polish
- •Switching between light and dark themes now updates every chart, including charts in focus mode, without a reload.
- •A newly created workspace now appears in the workspace list straight away.
- •The workspace and layout menus have a lighter frame and roomier buttons.
Installer
- •The installer has been reworked to get TabChart ready for the Microsoft Store, winget and Chocolatey.
- •Windows' Installed apps now shows TabChart with its proper publisher, icon, website and description.
Thank you for using TabChart!
